Juvenile arrested after hitting police car, allegedly leading chase

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – A 17-year-old was arrested Sunday after failing to stop after hitting a police car and allegedly leading police on a chase, the Michigan City Police Department reported.
At 2:49 p.m., an officer with the Police Department was traveling on Broadway Street near North Carroll Avenue in his marked patrol vehicle when a passenger van exiting an alley adjacent to Broadway Street allegedly failed to yield, hitting the right rear bumper of the patrol vehicle with the right front bumper of the van, officers said. ....
