BTG Seeks to Triple Overseas Wealth Assets as It Hires in Miami

(Bloomberg) Banco BTG Pactual is expanding its U.S. wealth unit as the Brazilian bank seeks to triple the amount of overseas assets it manages in the next three years.
BTG is hiring new advisers and will start partnering with independent U.S. wealth firms serving Latin American clients, said Rogerio Pessoa, head of the Sao Paulo-based lender’s wealth-management business. Pessoa said the bank’s wealth assets grew by 54% in 2020 and he expects an even bigger gain this year. ....
