North carolina s ninth congressional district has captured the attention of both parties amid predictions that the race could be a political barometer for 2020. republican dan bishop and democrat dan mcgrady are locked in tight race less than two weeks before voters head to the polls. both candidates taking cues from national talking points on hot button issues. bishop has called his opponent a socialist and echoed president trump s rhetoric on immigration and security policies. while mccready, more moderate, pushes reform. president trump won the district by 11.22016. with that in mind, the white house is pulling out all the stops for bishop. the president will hold a rally the day before the election and the vice president and donald trump jr. are heading there, too. chris, i will ask you the obvious question here. do you think this is a barometer for 2020? what happens here? chris: it s pretty hard to guess that because it so far out. we would just be spent bawling ....
