ZAMBOANGA CITY - Government agents have arrested a high-value target (HVT) drug personality and seized over PHP734,000 worth of suspected shabu in an anti-drug operation here, a top police official announced Friday. Col. Rexmel Reyes, city police director, identified the arrested HVT suspect as Kevin Tommy, 27, of Barangay Tumaga, this city. Reyes said the suspect was nabbed during a buy-bust operation at Cabato Lane, Barangay Canelar around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Seized from the suspect's possession were two large-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP734,400, a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine PHP1,000 bill used as marked money, two paper bags, and a motorcycle. The suspect now faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
