Posta Rangers release six as Okumbi continues to restructure team

Goal on Monday. Okumbi has been given a free-hand regarding team structuring and the management is doing its best to ensure his wishes are granted. A few more changes are coming before the short transfer window is closed. The team has made several signings already to bolster the squad and ensure the team gets positive results consistently. The latest signings are Alex Dunga Luganji who joins the team from the National Super League side Nairobi Stima. Rising Star Steiner Musasia and Josphat Lopaga. The Mailmen also signed midfielder Bernard Ondiek from Gor Mahia a couple of days ago. The veteran player found it hard to break into the K Ogalo first team and opted to try his fortune elsewhere. The Mailmen jumped on the opportunity and brought him on board.

Tusker win against Posta Rangers reflects what we have been training on - Matano

Makari, Nyatini, Ayoyi: Posta Rangers sign trio from FC Talanta, Wazito & Biashara United respectively

The first two players are Kenyans, but the last one is from Uganda and has initially played for former Kenyan top-tier side Sony Sugar. Posta are also contemplating who to drop to create space for new players. The management is strict on the number of players in the team owing to tough economic times. The Mailmen have collected just one win from the 11 matches they have played in the FKF-Premier League, drawn seven and lost three. They have also scored seven goals and conceded 11 which puts them at negative four in goal difference. The management felt Sammy Omollo, who is commonly referred to as Pamzo, had not done enough and decided to part ways with him.

The hosts gave a good account of themselves, pushing forward and playing with composure and confidence despite their limited experience as compared to their opponents. Neither of the two teams managed to get a goal in the first half. While All-Stars must have been satisfied with their first-half display, the Nairobi-based side were not contented with the result. After the break, the 2009-league champions came back stronger hoping to get a goal and avoid post-match penalties. The ineffective Paul Kiongera and Collins Wakungu gave way to Otieno and Joe Waithera. And in the 48th minute, the former Tusker FC striker scored the all-important goal to ensure his team advanced.
