gregg: extreme weather alert. fox news confirming a tornado has touched down in colorado just east of denver. janis dean live in the fox extreme center with more on that. unfortunately, some of these storms are turning violent. we have several severe thunderstorm watches in effect and a tornado watch in effect for the denver area and east of denver until 10:00 p.m. local time. within this tornado watch, we have several tornado warnings. right now this one has just popped up east of johns town. you can see here, this is reflextivity on the radar. when you see the pinks and the light pinks, that s an indication of hail. in this case, we have seen hail in excess of two inches wide in diameter. so that s going to be a big problem. ....

Based on what we are seeing. gregg: this is referring to the county which coughs wichita, the airport is to the west of the downtown area and that is where the big tornado was seen and touched down but no reports injuries at this time, right? that is correct. that is correct. no injuries. gregg: and damage to the airport? it is a reasonably sized mid-sized airport. guest: no significant damage reports but just indications there could be some damage. we are in the process of checking that out and working with local emergency management office. we have folks in that area. gregg: the tornado that touched down near mid-continent airport in wichita has it moved on? has it lifted up in do you have any status on it? ....
Based on the condition. gregg: what point would you ask for assistance from the governor s office, red cross, and so forth in am i getting ahead of myself? so far, no reported injuries but if you are looking at the same television we are looking at this super cell is huge and the tornadoes we have been watching are extremely large and appear to be quite dangerous. guest: we are already working with the red cross. we activated our state emergency operations center early today and we have had someone from the american red cross here at about 2:00 today and we are working with them closely to see if there is a need for temporary shelters after people have been displaced or anything else they might be able to provide. we are working with other agencies that we usually work ....
