Thank you for waking up with us. Welcome to mornings on 2. It is saturday, august 1st, ill claudine wong. Im paul chambers. Happening now, b. A. R. T. Is repairing a vital section of track near the transbay two, no service from west oakland and embarcadero stations. Service will resume early monday morning. 80,000 riders who rely on the Transit System on weekends must find another way around. Made plans with my friends. So those plans are out of window . Now they are out the window, of course. What this is addressing is some of the wear and tear of a system thats almost 45 years old. Now, starting saturday, september 5th, b. A. R. T. Will again shut down the transbay tube during the Labor Day Weekend. Both closures will allow b. A. R. T. To cross trains from one track to another from the west oakland station to the transbay tube. With these changes b. A. R. T. Says if there is a delay they can move trains around easier and reduce the length of the delay. Taking a look at this map from

Pottsville and it is barreling in towards slatington. It might catch hamburg and looks like allentown might catch a little bit of this later this morning. Give it another maybe hour or so. As we take a look at 76 degrees in philadelphia, you can see that it is warm to start out in most neighborhoods. 71 71 in wilmington, 72 in trenton and 69 in cape may. And again, the dewpoints are running a little bit high in some southern areas but now at the top of the hour we have seen things improve in philadelphia. That number has dropped from close to 70 down to 65 and thats probably part of the reason why im not feeling all that humid here on the terrace. Those 70s and upper 60s down by the shore indicate higher humidity. Overall today, just a little bit humid. A mix of sun and clouds and warm. By noon, were up to 85 degrees. By 3 oclock, 89 and then by 7 oclock tonight, 79 as were heading out maybe wrapping up some barbecues heading over towards the fireworks there is the chance of a spotty i
It is 5 00 on the dot. Hurricane harvey battered the texas coast and here in our area, we are in for a beautiful weekend. Couldnt be more different. Lets get right to our meteorologist krystal klei tracking all ever it for us. Yeah, totally different forecast our area to down south. Look over texas, this is the radar view of what is Hurricane Harvey. As you mentioned, downgraded now to the category 2 after a category 4 landfall. And you can tell a bit by looking at the eyewall that is that little doughnut right in the middle of what were seeing on radar, notice how its pinching into it a close because its weakening. Warm waters fuels it, so once it gets over land, it starts to weaken. But it is a very dangerous situation as it continues to spin just to the north of Corpus Christi. It made landfall near rockport, texas. And then a second landfall over copano bay. And now its churning over the coastal area through at least wednesday. This is when the devastation comes into play. Because
