University of Utah President Taylor Randall has empaneled a task force charged to explore what happens when students, faculty and staff are uncomfortable expressing their points of view. The task force has been asked to review this question and develop recommendations that “strengthen our campus climate so that all voices and perspectives are welcomed and respected,” according to Randall’s letter to task force members, which was released on Monday.
