Medicaid, the second largest single program in the state after education, currently serves about 4.5 million low-income Floridians and makes up roughly one third of the FY 2020-2021 state budget. According to the bill analysis, some of the information in some progress reports are already published online, or only apply to a small portion of recipients, and are therefore unnecessary.

After almost 3,000 of North Dakota s first responders and health care workers applied for funds to help cover their COVID-19-related medical expenses, the state stopped accepting applications Wednesday, Dec. 16, due to the overwhelming response.
Earlier this month, the North Dakota Legislature approved allocating $2.5 million of the state s federal pandemic stimulus funds to create the Medical Expense Assistance Program to help first responders and front-line health care workers pay for COVID-19 expenses. Applicants could only qualify for the funds if they tested positive for COVID-19, and had not applied or were rejected for worker s compensation. ....

So many front-line workers sought help paying COVID-19 costs, North Dakota stopped taking applications
As of noon on Wednesday, the department had received 2,916 applications, of which 1,564 were awarded funds. The department said the remaining 1,352 applications will go through the review process, and that all funds will need to be distributed by Dec. 30.

State, local officials update public on impact, progress of COVID-19 in North Dakota

Wednesday, the Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce held a COVID-19 business panel made up of state and local officials to discuss with the public how the state is handling the hit COVID-19 has taken on local businesses and how the virus has impacted the state.
The panel was made up of Interim Commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Commerce Shawn Kessel, director of the North Dakota Division of Disease Kirby Kruger, Devils Lake Mayor Dick Johnson, and Devils Lake chief of police Joe Knowski. Kessel opened up the program addressing the various grants that have been are available to local businesses around the state and some that are still available.   ....
