Rally organizers, police deny coordinating with far-right extremists ahead of pro-Israel rally

Organizers from the non-profit Shield of Israel denied a claim by the leader of a local far-right “patriot” group that he met with them ahead of a pro-Israel rally Sunday featuring former secretary of state Mike Pompeo and California gubernatorial recall candidate Larry Elder.
Members of the group clashed with self-proclaimed Antifa activists who were acting as an ad-hoc security team for pro-Palestinian protesters intent on disrupting the “We are Israel” rally in El Cajon Sunday.
Videos shared online show several fistfights between members of the two groups and people from both sides spraying one another with what appears to be bear repellent, a type of pepper spray that shoots farther, wider and lingers in the air longer than pepper sprays intended for human targets. ....

Their efforts have expanded into a massive online crowdsourcing campaign that has helped identify numerous attendees of the “Stop the Steal” rally, with a focus on those who later marched to the Capitol and either witnessed the breach or participated in it more directly.
