years to make the affirmative case for democrats. so, we can get that gavel back. and get to the business of alleviating hardship. and of advancement. of actualize-ing justice through policy. but in the meantime, i m certainly not going to stop fighting. i don t have the luxury of apathy or cynicism. we need to govern, democrats need to govern, fight, and lead. i think this week showed the clear contrast between us and them. and we have to continue to show that contrast between republicans and democrats. republicans, are playing with peoples lives, democrats are changing and saving lives. we re governing with compassion for the american people. and republicans govern with chaos and content for the american people. and i continue to do the work of working with this white house, when we have a democratic white house, on the executive action agenda.
using and leveraging every tool available to me including my state house and my city hall to make sure that i m advocating on behalf of the people. then when it comes to washington, let us not lose sight that we do still have the white house. and i worked very closely with the biden/harris administration on things like repealing title 42, canceling student debt, a moratorium on the federal death penalty. that work will continue that we push for an executive action agenda. well, the two parties could not be more different in the senate, but especially now. it couldn t be more different. congresswoman, i mean wow, thank you so much. they don t have any necklaces like that? if they had them, they would have wore them wrong, just to do it wrong. thank you very much, congresswoman. happy new year. thank you, joy. thank you. and still ahead, george santos
idea of executive action. we re trying to push as hard as we can for anything we can get through. we ll keep doing that legislatively. that s also why we rolled out an executive action agenda. we re moving both tracks. i m very optimistic on the executive agenda front. i am still hopeful on the legislative front and we re not giving up. look, you make some big promises when they took over a unified government with a narrow majority. by every measure they ve underdelivered. democrats are heading into a mid-term election with campaign promises unfulfilled and asking voters to give them another two years running congress. a big one unfulfilled is the prescription drug issue. with me is leann caldwell, democratic pollster and cornel belcher and senior fellow
