Celina Insurance Group recognizes Novak for insurance designation achievement Novak CELINA – Evie Novak, special investigative unit senior investigator at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator designation. The CIFI program is an accrediting process for individuals with the specialized skills required to detect, investigate and deter insurance fraud. The program has a high standard for admission and testing, including adherence to the International Association of Special Investigation Unit’s code of ethics and a demonstrated competency through mandatory continuing professional education. Novak is a member of the IASIU and has been active in the SIU for more than three years. To achieve the CIFI, she acquired 100 points toward the examination application that combines educational degrees and years of insurance investigation experience. She also successfully passed the exam. ....
Evie Novak started a new career at age 65, when most people are thinking about retiring. Instead of slowing down, after her husband died she became a longtime fixture on the Borsheims sales floor. âShe greeted everyone with a warm smile and generous eyes,ââ said Sean Moore, director of sales. Novak recently retired at age 98, after 34 years with the company. She focused her sales on womenâs jewelry and Judith Leiber handbags. Novak said sheâll most remember her career with Borsheims by the relationships she made with co-workers and customers. âI have helped so many wonderful people, probably thousands of people, and I value the relationships we have built,â she said. âI met one of my most memorable customers in the store in 1996 and ended up assisting them with more than 250 Judith Leiber bags over 24 years.â ....
