The Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the News’ sister paper, received eight honors. The awards are listed below with judges’ comments. – – The News took second place for Coverage of Agriculture (one division statewide) for its Savor the Season special issue. Andy Flynn, Elizabeth Izzo, Carol Swirsky, Katherine McDonald and Naj Wikoff were credited for the coverage of local farmers and food. The spring and fall issues of Savor the Season were submitted for the contest. “With ag news, farm features and local food, Savor the Season offers the greatest breadth of coverage of any entry in this category.”
