The company is giving malone and his affiliates at 3 stake. In return, lions gate will get 14 of the voting power and malones starz tv network. Time warner has beat profit estimates for the 24th quarter in a row. Fees for its cable channels and hbo help offset a drop in advertising sales. So did job cuts across the company.
