That was the common thread a number of shoppers at the bustling Sheraton Centre yesterday told the DAILY NATION of buying only to budget, spending “sparingly”, cutting back when compared to previous years, and even reusing and recycling rather than replenishing, to celebrate the Yuletide season. Scores of people were waiting to go inside at different entrances, just before the Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church mall opened at 9 a.m. Some stores had long lines outside their doors. ....
