Other people were sending letters, the letters are crafted in a way that they dont give away anything you would call covered by the secrecy. They speak in general terms, except for a few of the letters by some members, never by washington, to their children. There is no indication that they were then released. What is so impressive about the secrecy is that several members of the convention were aghast at what happened, such as the delegates from new york. Lanston and gates were furious. They stormed off and left in the middle of the convention leaving new york no longer represented. Yet even they did not report what was happening. They felt bound.
