Breaking news taking place on the utah arizona border where eight people are dead and five still missing swept away in a surprise wave of flash flooding. Emergency officials in the sister towns of hildale and Colorado City say a van and suv carry 16 women and children were swamped by a wall of water that washed them downstream. Three managed to survive. It was triggered by heavy rains falling in canyons north of those two towns. Power and Water Service still out in much of that area. Taking a look at the radar you see it stretching north. Some of these storms bringing heavy downpours and lightning and well stay on top of it in the southwest. This 22yearold woman out for a bike ride with a friend when suddenly a trailer carrying a fishing boat came untethered to the truck that was pulling it. The fishing boat women. Reporter the man who was towing the boat stayed at the grim scene as police tried to figure out what happened. A mangled bike sat on the side of hylan boulevard. Its owner, a 22yearold woman out for a ride with a friend when the towed fishing boat somehow detached from the truck that was pulling it. It first hit one bike rider. She later died from her injuries. A second young woman was dragged underneath the boat and seriously hurt. It was a horrifying scene for neighbors. Her arm was under the tire of the boat.
