Edwardsville pool won t open this summer

EDWARDSVILLE The City of Edwardsville Community Swimming Pool on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will remain closed thios summer.
Officials with the Edwardsville Parks and Recreation Department on Thursday announced that they had hoped to open the poool this season after being unable to open last summer because of COVID-19 attendance restrictions from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
“The Parks and Recreation Department is continuing to plan for events and activities for our community to enjoy,” said Nate Tingley, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We appreciate the community for understanding this difficult situation and will be looking forward to seeing everyone at our other wonderful parks this summer.” ....
