Authorities are investigating two hit-and-run crashes, one of which threw an 11-year-old boy 20 feet from where he had been standing in a crosswalk in Worcester, the other injuring a family off I-93 in Andover.
In the Worcester incident, the victim was in the crosswalk on Pleasant Street on Tuesday when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle that then took off from the scene, according to WHDH.
The boy wasn’t conscious immediately after the crash, but came to within a few minutes, witnesses told the news station. He was brought to a nearby hospital and is recovering. Another boy who was with him wasn’t hurt.
