By Doug Russell Apr 12, 2021 The Milwaukee Bucks snapped their three-game losing streak Sunday night in Orlando but had to do it once again without two-time reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. Led by Khris Middleton’s 21 points on 8-13 shooting, the Bucks beat the Magic 124-87 at the Amway Center to improve to 33-20 on the season. He s the ultimate professional, so consistent, a great scorer and he does it in a lot of different ways, Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer said of Middleton after the game. I think, at the same time, he s a great leader. He s really taken on a more impactful leadership role. The scoring and the threes, everybody sees, but I like how he s taken on leadership. ....
Apr 12, 2021 The Milwaukee Brewers may have found their missing offense in St. Louis over the weekend, but potentially lost another key member of their everyday lineup to the injury bug. Milwaukee (5-4) jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead after two innings and were able to cruise to an easy 9-3 over the Cardinals, but lost star outfielder Christian Yelich to a sore back in the process. Further complicating matters, third baseman Travis Shaw, who belted a long three-run homer in the second inning had to leave after fouling a ball off of his leg in the fifth inning. For Christian, it s low back tightness; day to day, Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters via zoom after the game. Travis has a right shin contusion and it s going to be the same day to day. We ll see how they re doing tomorrow. I m not ruling them out. We ll see how they are when they get to the field. ....

No-hit through five innings, Milwaukee finally reached base on an Omar Narvaez’ ground ball down the third base line defeated Chicago’s infield pull shift. Once again, the failure of the team to put the ball in play plagued the Brewers in Chicago. Through their first four games, Milwaukee batters have struck out a whopping 48 times. “We didn t get off to a good start again today, Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters after the game. “We obviously need more runs; we just obviously haven t gotten them so far.” ....
By Outkick the Coverage w/ Clay Travis Apr 5, 2021 Major League Baseball made a surprising decision a few days ago by pulling the MLB All-Star Game from Atlanta due to changes in Georgia s voting laws. Clay Travis brings on Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to discuss the decision made by baseball, and the negative effects it s likely to have on the league and his state. Clay and Governor Kemp explain how and why this decision came about. Governor Kemp goes into detail on what the new bill actually requires and how it compares to other states. Not only is the July 13th exhibition no longer in Atlanta for Braves fans, but it also means that the one hundred million dollars the All-Star Game generates will no longer be helping small businesses across the Atlanta area. ....
