A new 72-unit affordable housing project for Johns Island’s senior residents (age 62 and older) has been a long time in the making, developers and community leaders said.
The family of local civil rights hero Esau Jenkins as well as leaders from across Charleston county and the state broke ground Thursday on the Esau Jenkins Village.
