for months gangs of terrorists have threatend port-au-prince haiti s capital, with violence and kidnappings. police have been largely unable to stem the violence so far. this year more than 1000 people have been kidnapped in haiti, mostly women and children. that now includes an american nurse and her child and a humanitarian mission. florida disappearance, here s jason carroll. my name is alex. i am a nurse from new hampshire. alex friend and family but for her safe return for her and her child. according to the humanitarian group, the two were taken by captors from the headquarters located near port-au-prince. that where she had been working as a school nurse, and her husband s angel dorsainvil is the director. sandro invited me to come to the school to do some nursing, he said that was a big knee that they had. ....

Haiti, that is the faith-based humanitarian organization that dorsainvil and her husband work for, they put out a statement which says they ve been working diligently not only with haitian officials but with u.s. officials as well. but they caution, brianna, that they re really not able to say much about whatever efforts are going on behind the scenes because their feeling is that that could jeopardize whatever efforts are being made. and that s the same sentiment we heard in d.c., not only from the state department but from national security officials as well. we want to see her released. we want to see her back home with her family where she belongs. but again, i think it s probably the most prudent thing for us to do to not publicly talk about those efforts in any great detail as the situation is still precare crouse. we re all very, very mindful of her case and certainly mindful that she has a young child with ....
