As Dr. Kreisman alluded to, smoking is not addictive. I would only add that none of the following are addictive either: cigarettes, cigars, pipes, tobacco, etc. In terms of tobacco smoking, the one and only thing that is addictive is nicotine, and there are many alternative and smoke-free ways for smokers to get their hit of nicotine (at least, while inside their homes) that do not involve setting fire to sliced, diced and carcinogen-laden tobacco leaves. ....
