falls, what happens to that cash? we re also seeing some new video of a violent train crash. time to play reporter roulette. miguel marquez, straight to you in yuma, arizona. you were briefed. have you even more information on what s happened there. the two helicopters colliding in the skies over yuma. snfrl yeah, we just spoke to the base commander. the most stunning thing coming out is the picture of that crash. it occurred around 10:30 p.m. eastern standard time on the california side of the base here. the entire crash was there. if you look at those pictures, what is very, very clear is it was in fact, a mid-air collision. there may have been an explosion as well because there s not much left of either of those helicopters except for a rotor that you can make out. the terrain says the base commander is very much like afghanistan and in iraq. the only differencing between that it s not the altitude isn t quite as great. commander also told us that there was a train ....
the attack and what it means to them professionally as well as personally, t.j. all right. also a reminder on this day as well, suzanne, of what they are fighting for. there was an attack in eastern afghanistan. tell us about that. reporter: you re right, because there s a certain sense of anxiety, anticipation, what to expect today, if there was going to be retaliation. it happened on the eve of september 11th. it was just last night about 5:30 local time. we are told it happened about 60 miles west where we are. it was a combat outpost, a truck bomb that exploded, two afghan civilians were killed. there were a lost injuries, t.j., you re talking about 77 from the international coalition, about 25 afghan civilians. mostly minor injuries but nevertheless, a lost people involved in this. we had an opportunity to talk to general john allen. set head of the u.s. and nato mission here in afghanistan. it was an exclusive interview. he told us what he believes this attack ....
school, teachers and students have been filling that football field on campus. a text message from the school informed students and parents that the sheriff s officers in orange county, they ve been investigating a bomb threat. here s where the story takes a bizarre turn. our affiliate in california as well as the l.a. times, they re all reporting that an awol marine from nearby camp pendleton left a threatening note behind in his barracks. that s what tipped off the authorities to go to the high school. evacuate these students and inspect some of the buildings there. the evacuation started just in the last hour or so. we ve been watching as the kids have been filling the outdoor areas. but i ve been told that they re now moving inside. apparently, it s very, very hot in the l.a. area today. so they re moving inside towards the gym. deemed a safe zone. talking to parents, just in the last couple of minute on social media who say they have kid at the school and their stu ....
