(KT) â A Boone County Grand jury indicted a northern Kentucky man on human trafficking and other charges in connection with an investigation and conviction of a former judge for human trafficking. Robert L. Poole, a Boone County attorney, is accused of four counts of human trafficking â commercial sex activity, a Class C felony, and one count of bribing a witness, a Class D felony. Class C felonies can carry a 5-10-year prison sentence if convicted, with 1-5 years for a Class D felony. The investigation was led by the Erlanger Police Department, with assistance from Attorney General Daniel Cameronâs Human Trafficking Investigation Unit. Erlanger Police received information regarding Poole from the investigation of former Campbell County District Judge Tim Nolan. ....

According to multiple reports, Bouknight was arrested at 3:56 a.m. by the Erlanger Police Department. The Courier-Journal of Louisville reported that Bouknight was also charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage and for driving 26 mph or more over the speed limit, citing Kenton County public records. Bouknight has a court appearance scheduled for Friday. The 37-year-old Bouknight is entering his second season at Kentucky after previous coaching stops at Utah State, Texas Tech and Oregon. ....

Officers from six departments will spread out along Interstate 71/75 from the 275 interchange to the Brent Spence Bridge ready to cite any traffic infractions, starting at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. The added police coverage will come from Covington, Erlanger, Fort Mitchell, Park Hills, Villa Hills and Kenton County Police.
