Clarke County school employees received six boxes of Girl Scout Cookies each after over 19,000 boxes were donated to the school system.
At Fowler Drive Elementary, boxes of cookies Tagalongs, Samoas, Thin Mints, and more were stacked high in the office of Assistant Principal Mia Jordan.
Jordan said that she received a call from the district that Girl Scout Cookies were being dropped off. Expecting only a few, she said to place them in her office but when she walked in, wasn t ready for the mound of cookies waiting for her.
“It s actually amazing. It s awesome, especially during testing time,” said Jordan. “It s just been a stressful period during the pandemic, but just to see teachers smiling, just to know they’re appreciated.”
