About a third of the roof of the South Charleston Public Library in South Charleston, West Virginia was blown off during last week’s storms, but City Manager Rick Atkinson is hopeful the repairs will be finished by the end of April. The wind destroyed the roof of the library’s western wing. While staff was able to quickly cover bookshelves with tarp and plastic, about 4% of the library’s adult collection was damaged from rain.
