The Dutch zoo opens its doors digitally with OOH video displays across the city of Rotterdam
Due to the lockdown in the Netherlands, the Rotterdam Zoo - one of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands - had to close its doors for the public. However, maintenance costs to take care of the plants and animals remained, which is why Accenture Interactive came up with the idea to enable people to visit the zoo in the coming weeks, but not at its trusted location.
Accenture Interactive worked together with JCDecaux, a specialist in out of home advertising, to develop video live streams which are displayed at advertising panels across the city of Rotterdam. These video streams are enabling people to digitally visit and admire various animal species, all whilst they walk through the city centre of Rotterdam. ....
