Pine Point complaint delays Springfield City Council vote on McDonald’s drive-thru Updated 2:33 PM; SPRINGFIELD The City Council has not yet acted on a special permit for a proposed expanded two-lane drive-up the McDonald’s on 809 Boston Road in Pine Point, waiting for the fast food franchise to address a neighbor’s complaints about noise and litter. For the second consecutive meeting, the council on Monday voted to continue the public hearing, as requested by McDonald’s with the stated purpose of having further discussions on the complaints. The owner, McDonald’s Real Estate Co., is seeking to amend its 2007 permit to expand from a single-lane drive-up to a reconfigured drive-up for two ordering stations, as done at many of its restaurants, officials said. ....
