West Chester University landed four players on the US Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-America squad, which was announced Thursday by that publication. In its opening dual meet of the 2023-24 season, the Unionville High School swim team swept Oxford Friday at the Kennett YMCA, with the boys winning 85-59 and the girls prevailing, 89-63.
The Chester County high school swimming season has begun, and the local scene looks strong again. Downingtown East, which finished 9-0 last winter, returns a strong group of swimmers, and Conestoga also returns a strong crop, led by senior Jake Wang, who was the Daily Local News 2022-23 Boys Swimmer of the Year.
