And a Half Moon Bay up by five degrees or so and it has to do with that cloud cover blanketing the coast. The winds are generally light and you can see very calm at the moment. Hiring thousands of flying air marshals after 9 11 was a natural reaction, but it should have been a temporary detail and not a career. Not very many young and ambition people yearn for a career in the airline seat. They said half the job would be flying and the rest would be time to recover and investigating. 14 years later, air marshals tell me there are still not ground opportunities. We should train federal and local Law Enforcement officers to quickly deploy as a reserve air marshals in order to respond to specific threats.
