Rangareddy (Telangana) [India], January 13 (ANI): Two persons, including a Chinese national, have been arrested in a loan app fraud here, police said on Wednesday.
The arrested persons have been identified as HE Jian aka Mark, a Chinese national and Vivek Kumar.
Mahesh Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate stated that the police arrested them in continuation of investigation regarding the Instant Loan Apps fraud case and based on the confession of previous arrested three accused persons operating call centres for providing services to four Instant Loan Apps companies. ....

Instant loan apps case: Chinese woman among three arrested from Pune call center

Based on a recent complaint alleging harassment and humiliation over repayment of loans availed through mobile phone apps, the Cyber Crime Police of Rachakonda had registered a case under section 417, 419, 420(cheating) of IPC and section 66D of IT Act. The complainant told police that he was pushed into a debt trap by nearly 14 apps that charged him an interest of over 50 percent on loan amounts.
The company partnered with Bienance Infrastructure Technology, West Mumbai; Ajaya Solutions private limited, Thane and Taelde Technology private limited, Mysore, offering telecaller services for recovery of loans. ....

Three people, including a Chinese national, were arrested by the Cyber Crime police of Rachakonda on Sunday in the instant mobile app loan cases.
The microfinance companies have been harassing borrowers by branding them as cheats and humiliating them when they fail to repay the loan amount on time.
According to police, Liang Tian Tian, the Chinese national, got married to one Parshuram Lahu Takve in 2013 and came to India on a dependent Visa in 2016. Takye started Hypertel Pvt. Ltd. at Koregaon in Pune to provide BPO services with limited employees and closed the company in March 2020 due to COVID-19 lockdown. In June, he started Jiya Liang InfoTech Pvt. Ltd. and Tian assisted him in running the company affairs and monitoring the employees day-to-day activities. ....
