Minister issues circular on abolishing national and school exams 4th February 2021
A classroom of a Junior High School (SMP) Jakarta (ANTARA) - Education and Culture Minister Nadiem Makarim issued Circular Number 1 of 2021 on the elimination of National Examinations (UN) and Equivalence Examinations and implementation of School Examinations during the COVID-19 emergency.
According to the circular, issued on February 1, 2021, the UN and equivalence examinations are not required for graduation or selection to enter a higher education level.
Students are declared to have graduated from an educator unit or program after completing a learning program during the COVID-19 pandemic as evidenced by a report issued every semester, obtaining a minimum good attitude or behavior score, and taking exams organized by the education unit.
