Arrests made in Portland church vandalism, burglary, shooting
Portland Police announce arrests in three separate incidents that happened across the city this week.
Portland Police Bureau officers arrested a man who allegedly stole items from two storage units in Northwest Portland and then fled by vehicle before crashing his car and ditching a gun in the snow.
Travis John Hendon, 35, faces two counts each of first-degree burglary and being a felon in possession of a gun, plus one count of first- and second-degree theft, plus hit and run.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the thefts occurred at Central Self Shortage, 1323 N.W. 16th Ave., where Hendon previously had rented a unit but was evicted.
