Arrests made in Portland church vandalism, burglary, shooting Portland Police announce arrests in three separate incidents that happened across the city this week. Portland Police Bureau officers arrested a man who allegedly stole items from two storage units in Northwest Portland and then fled by vehicle before crashing his car and ditching a gun in the snow. Travis John Hendon, 35, faces two counts each of first-degree burglary and being a felon in possession of a gun, plus one count of first- and second-degree theft, plus hit and run. According to a probable cause affidavit, the thefts occurred at Central Self Shortage, 1323 N.W. 16th Ave., where Hendon previously had rented a unit but was evicted.

Christopher Colletta, 44, is suspected of burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. He’s being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center. Portland police said officers were sent to a reported burglary in progress at St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Northwest Davis Street about 3:30 a.m. Someone was reportedly breaking things and throwing items through windows from inside the church, according to police.
