A joint assembly production of Gomselmash equipment was launched in Kazakhstan. “We are jointly assembling grain harvesters under the Essil brand in Kazakhstan. This is a very successful project, we assemble 4,300 grain harvesters,” said Dmitry Afanasyev.
Enterprises of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased their exports to the EAEU countries by 16.5% in the first half of 2023, BelTA learned from the press service of the concern.
Bellesbumprom companies supplied furniture, paper and cardboard, fiberboard, wallpaper to this Russian region. The growth of exports was pretty robust last year, too. In 2022 enterprises of the concern increased their exports to the region 1.7 times over 2021.
Head of the concern Tatiana Lugina made a presentation on "Import substitution in the light industry as the key to ensuring the economic sovereignty of the Union State" at the plenary session of the forum.
According to the Bellegprom head, last year was not easy for all the enterprises of the Belarusian light industry. “It was difficult to change logistics, partners and suppliers. Nevertheless, we did quite well in 2022. The exports grew more than 10%. In January-May 2023 the exports went up 27%. We got these achievements thanks to the systemic work of our teams,” Tatiana Lugina said.
