Chinese company M/s SSH (BD) Sustainable Fashion Co Ltd is going to invest $24.05 million to set up a high-end garments industry in the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) Economic Zone (Bepza EZ). The government agency signed an agreement with the company to this effect at the Bepza Complex, Dhaka o Wednesday (4 January), reads a press release.
JF&I Packaging (BD) Ltd, a Sri Lanka-Bangladesh joint venture enterprise is going to establish a garments accessories manufacturing industry in BEPZA Economic Zone with an investment of $ 11.32 million. The Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (Bepza) has sought more investment from Japan and Italy. Member (Investment Promotion) of Bepza Ali Reza Mazid has requested the ambassadors of these countries to work on in this regard so that more Japanese and Italian investors choose the EPZs of Bangladesh as their investment destination, said a Bepza press release.
