In directive with the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed registered institutions about the prohibition of electronic cigarettes. The Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes (Production, Manufacture, Import, Export, Transport, Sale, Distribution, Storage, and Advertisement) Act 2019 restricts the use of these devices in the interest of public health. The NBSE urges Heads of Registered Institutions to take necessary measures to educate students and teachers on the harmful effects of electronic cigarettes.
