RANGPUR, March 13, 2021 (BSS) – Rangpur people started the War of Liberation decisively from March 28 in 1971, only three days after the Pakistani crackdown on innocent Bangalees, turning the day into a red letter one in the history.
Sacrificing three brave sons Sangku Samajhder, Abul Kalam Azad and Omar Ali on March 3 in the beginning of the volatile month in 1971, Rangpur people started a decisive fight for independence.
According to freedom fighters, Rangpur people under leadership of Awami League (AL) and students’ leaders started preparing to launch stiff resistance against the occupation army as per Bangabandhu’s call in his historic March 7 speech. ....

RANGPUR, March 12, 2021 (BSS) – Since the beginning of volatile March in 1971, the country’s northernmost Tentulia Thana remained occupation-free during the nine-month War of Liberation creating a stern warning to the Pakistan army.
The independence-seeker Bangalee nation turned enormously angry when hatred Pakistani junta Yahiya Khan on March 1 in 1971 cancelled the scheduled March 3 parliament sitting and declared curfew on the day.
Instantaneously rejecting cancellation of the parliament session, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called strikes on March 2 in Dhaka and March 3 in the country when people of the northern region started mobilising them determinedly. ....

RANGPUR, March 1, 2021 (BSS) – The heroic Rangpur people started showing stiff resistance against the Pakistani regime with unprecedented bravery since the beginning of volatile March in 1971 with a decisive struggle for independence.
Local freedom fighters and elderly citizens said Rangpur city turned volatile since March 1 when hatred Pakistani President Yahiya Khan cancelled the scheduled parliament session on March 3 in 1971 and declared curfew on the day.
