Another gas explosion has occurred in Abeokuta as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitri on Thursday, DAILY POST reports.
This is coming less than 24 hours after three persons were burnt to death in a gas explosion that rocked Oke-Igbore area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The Ogun State Fire Service confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday.
The explosion was reportedly triggered by a refrigerator gas.
DAILY POST gathered that the only victim of the inferno has been amputated, while still struggling for life at the hospital.

DAILY POST learnt that the incident occurred at Oke-Egunya, along NTA road, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Eyewitness account has it that the fire started as a result of gas explosion.
It was learnt that a technician had visited a house in the area to service a faulty refrigerator.
“In the process of topping up gas into the refrigerator, there was an attraction of fire from someone cooking and there came an explosion,” an eyewitness told DAILY POST.
The Director of Fire Service, Ogun State, Engr Fatai Adefala, has confirmed the incident to newsmen.
Adefala said his men, after receiving the distress call, raced to the scene to put out the fire. ....

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, disclosed this in a terse statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

Apprehension engulfed the agrarian community of Ikaram-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government on Thursday, following the abduction of two persons by suspected kidnappers.
One of the victims identified as Gbodi, was abducted few kilometres from his residence, along Okeagbe/Ikaram highway while returning from his farm with the other victim kidnapped very close to where some construction workers were abducted recently along lkaram/Akunu highway within the area.
It was gathered that the abductors of one of the victims had demanded N10m ransom after establishing contact with the family.
According to the traditional ruler of the community, the Akala of Ikaram, Oba Andrew Momodu, who confirmed the abduction of the men, cried out that his people have been living in palpable fear since gunmen laid siege to the area. ....
