Nunda veteran's D-Day reflections ahead of 100th birthday

This Sunday marks 77 years since the D-Day invasion, a beginning of the end for World War II. But on his 23rd birthday, there was no time for celebrating. “We get a mile or two from going in,” he recalled, “and the shells have started flying over us. ” He stepped off of a ship and into 20 feet of water off Omaha Beach.

Someone You Should Know: Scott Fitzgerald and Steve Miller

Just days before the pandemic was declared last March, the cast and crew of "Bottom Feeders" shot their final scene. "I've just been enamored with films my entire life," Steve Miller said. "I wrote it. Wrote it 20 years ago. Then Scott [Fitzgerald] and I re-wrote it. And we shot it and we are way too old to be doing that, but we did it.
