CSPAN House Session January 7, 2015

Economy moving forward. The American People were loud and clear and give americas new congress to get our country back on track. We heard this call and we are ready to get off to a quick start. By weeks end we will grow the economy and create jobs. The hire more heroes act, the save america cans act and approval of the Keystone Pipeline. The president has not acknowledged the call of the people and threatened to veto the approval of the Keystone Pipeline. Americans cant afford another two years deterred by politics and cant afford threats and posturing instead of legitimate legislating. The American People deserve a congress and president focused on them, not the next election. I dont know what direction president obama will choose for the last two years of ....

To a Novel Technology called liquid metal batteries. And the announcement a few days ago was the commercialization of these batteries as utilityscale storage devices. And so thats an example of a Brand New Technology that came out in this kind of open solicitation. In 2012 similarly an example was sensing and computing hardware that could be in a backpacksized device that you could walk in and rapidly generate indoor physical and thermal, etc. , maps of a built structure. So, again, a really interesting idea that probably would not have been brought out in the more targeted solicitations that we do. So we think this is exciting in terms of generating new Technology Ideas Going Forward. But let me also say that this will be a big year for our loan program. I ....

My goodness they were tipped upsidedown and had money shaikd out of their pockets at gas stations all across our country for years and finally finally the day of deliverance has arrived and they have 2. 21 on average for the price and now were told the price of oil is too low. Weve got to get it back up again. And so the best way of accomplishing that is to Start Exporting Oil because the less there is here, the less there is in north america is the higher the price is going to be for american drives, for American Home heating oil consumers. Very simple plan. Its not about helping americans at the pump. Its about pumping up the prices for new profits for the Oil Companies. Very simple. And if its not then just accept an amendment that keeps all the oil here. Simplest thing to do and then your rhetoric matches up with ....

Announcers outside the u. S. We have a chance to grow jobs tax revenues, infrastructure by expanding coal exports and i think it is a way to keep prices lower as well as create jobs, tax revenue for infrastructure. I was just handed the words we have on that. The east coast ports alone by shipping 70 million tons. Accompanies the own, manage, export commonwealth continue with longrange plans focusing on potential for your, asia, south america. Glad to see the east coast. The coal, senator barrasso from wyoming we have opportunities from wyoming to miami and getting back to expansion. And recognized the lowsulfur content. Thank you, madam chair. Seeing such rapid change. Capability is increasing. And would you see as the role, to change the way we think about energy, change our generation needs to facilitate time shifting, move us forward to a very different kind of grid than what we have experienced in the past. U. S. Rate. I just hope that the department can be aggressive and forward leaning in partnering with the delegation and utilities to solve the problem. Its not a gas problem as you know, and i think its going its going to take an all of the above kind of strategy in terms of permitting and its a really urgent problem for the region and i assume you agree with that. Yes, in fact, the very first field hearings we had for the qer were in new england driven by the gas pipeline issue and the representatives of all six governors were part of that meeting. Frankly, the remarks made were such that the governors felt they, you know, were going to have this under control, and would take care of it. In fact, i understand that next year in 2016, that there will be a substantial expansion of capacity taking gas into the boston area through there but further north is a challenge. There, i dont know how this turns out, and happy to work with you, senator king, and the well, this is a problem of our s ....
