在与会者陆续入场时，由青年学子组成的合唱团，带领全场高唱《唱支山歌给党听》《团结就是力量》《我们走在大路上》《社会主义好》《我们是共产主义接班人》《新的天地》《没有共产党就没有新中国》等7首歌曲。
这些激情燃烧年代的经典歌曲诞生时，合唱团的年轻人还没有出生。来自中国政法大学一年级的苏州姑娘张涛是合唱团的一员，她告诉记者，在一次次排练和最终的正式演出中，她对每首歌都有了新的理解，也获得了更多力量。在唱《没有共产党就没有新中国》时，心中充满了对为祖国奉献青春和热血的革命先辈的崇敬；唱起《我们是共产主义接班人》，又重温了小学一年级加入少先队时懵懂又兴奋的心情。“作为一名共青团员，非常荣幸能为党的生日献上一� ....
