DOJ studying possible lookout order vs. Quiboloy

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy (File photo) MANILA - The Department of Justice (DOJ) is following the developments on Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who is under the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) wanted list, and can opt to hand down an immigration lookout order if circumstances warrant. Quiboloy, 71, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, was placed on the FBI most wanted list for "his alleged participation in a labor trafficking scheme that brought church members to the United States, via fraudulently obtained visas, and forced the members to solicit donations for a bogus charity, donations that actually were used to finance church operations and the lavish lifestyles of its leaders". Church members Teresita Dandan and Helan Panilag are also on the most wanted list for alleged conspiracy with Quiboloy. "(W)e can issue an ILBO (immigration lookout bulletin order) motu proprio. Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy (File photo) MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte "will execute the laws accordingly" amid the issues hounding his spiritual adviser, Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, Malacanang said Tuesday. Cabinet Secretary and Acting Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles made this assurance after being asked if Duterte would continue supporting Quiboloy amid sex trafficking charges hurled against the KOJC leader. Nograles was also asked whether Duterte would allow Quiboloy's extradition to the United States (US) if requested. "As a lawyer and as a former prosecutor, and the chief executive of the country, he will execute the laws accordingly," Nograles said in a Palace press briefing. Nograles earlier said it is up to Duterte if he will keep Quiboloy as his spiritual adviser.
