The attack that we witnessed against Hero Alom in Banani on Monday bore the resonance of suppression, especially when the attackers were heard saying, “He does Tiktok, he is a joker, why does he want to be the MP of Gulshan-Banani? Does he know what ‘MP’ means?”
While some may still say that Hero Alom wouldn’t have won the election anyway or he deserved to be “shown his place," I can’t help but wonder what would happen if the attack on Hero Alom hadn't taken place and he had indeed won the election.
