CROZET (WINA) – Big things going on in art in Crozet… literally. Crozet resident and artist Emmy Thacker and a partner are doing the latest in the Charlottesville Mural Project a huge mural on a concrete exterior wall of the 7-story English Meadows Senior Living building on Crozet Avenue. The JMU-trained art designer is doing this project with Virginia Tech architecture student Charlies Crotteau.
Bridge PAI sponsors the Charlottesville Mural Project which this is a part of and Executive Director Alan Goffinski says an inspired Emmy approached the building owners who serendipitously were thinking of someone painting a mural there.

The Charlottesville Mural Project announces Crozet’s newest public mural, which will be painted by local Crozet artist Emmy Thacker on a prominent wall of the English Meadows Senior Living building.
The project came together thanks to Charlie Crotteau, a Virginia Tech architecture student who reached out to English Meadows after eyeing the wall for some time. Coincidentally, the English Meadows had been looking to hire an artist to create a mural for the wall.
