Boko Haram: Army denies knowledge of Chibok girls escape as parents, Kibakwu community lament

The Kibakwu community have reacted to the news of the escape of some Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from a Government Secondary School Borno, in 2014.
The community members also raised concern that the purported escape of the girls was only a fluke which has raised and dashed their hopes at the same time.
Kibakwu is a community in Chibok local government area of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.
A member of the Kibakwu Association, Bulus Abana told DAILY POST in Maiduguri, that their hopes were raised when the news of the girls’ escape filtered in. ....

Nearly seven years after Chibok kidnapping, more girls escape Boko Haram: report

Almost seven years after more than 200 girls were kidnapped from their school in Chibok, Nigeria, by Boko Haram, more girls have escaped and are being reunited with their families.
Emmanuel Ogebe, a Nigerian human rights lawyer, told ABC News on Thursday that a parent informed him that his daughter escaped the militant group.
Mr. Ali Maiyanga s two daughters were part of the few Muslim schoolgirls taken with the majority Christian Chibok girls. Information currently available to us indicates that there are other escapees with the army whom parents are anxiously waiting to identify, Ogebe said.

Emmanuel Ogebe, a Nigerian human rights lawyer who practices in the United States and has previously worked with some of the freed girls and their families, said a parent told him that his daughter and others have escaped their captors.
Mr. Ali Maiyanga s two daughters were part of the few Muslim schoolgirls taken with the majority Christian Chibok girls. Information currently available to us indicates that there are other escapees with the army whom parents are anxiously waiting to identify, Ogebe said in a statement to ABC News late Thursday.
