Emmanuel Ibah, who passed on Tuesday, 15 th December 2020 in the Akwa Ibom State capital, Uyo after a brief illness. Members prayed for the repose of his soul and for the Almighty God to grant his family, friends, relations, the Akwa Ibom State football family, the NFF and the Nigerian Football family at large the fortitude to bear the big loss. ....
Punch Newspapers Sections Kelvin Ekerete Football stakeholders have kicked against the action of the Referee’s Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, after the committee members allegedly demanded to be paid sitting allowances by the Nigeria Women’s Football League, before appointing referees to officiate matches in the NWFL. The committee was said to have requested that the organisers of the NWFL pay for their sitting allowances before referees would be appointed for the league games. By Adibe Emenyonuin The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has condoled with the family and members of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), over the sudden death of Hon. Emmanuel Ibah on Tuesday. SWAN equally condoled with the immediate family of the late Ibah and reassure them that the association will continue to identify with them despite the passing of their patriarch. Ibah who was until his demise, the Chairman of Akwa Ibom Football Association as well as Coordinator of the South-South zone of the NFF was reported to have died after brief illness. In a tribute by Sir Honour Sirawoo and Jude Opara, SWAN President and Secretary General respectively, they described Ibah as a true friend of the association who constantly identified with the activities of the Akwa Ibom State Chapter. ....
