Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the formation of an independent National Human Rights Authority.
Sheikh Mohammed did so during a cabinet meeting in Abu Dhabi’s Qasr Al Watan on Monday, December 14.
Via the new human rights authority, the UAE aims to develop a network of individuals and institutions around the world that empowers vulnerable segments of society.

The UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on Monday chaired the last cabinet meeting of 2020.
During the meeting formation of a number of new government entities were approved by the Cabinet.
The Cabinet approved the establishment of a National Commission for Human Rights in the UAE, which will monitor Human Rights situation in the country, enact policies and will co-ordinate with all concerned parties internally and externally to maintain the civilised level that the UAE has reached in this field.

ABU DHABI The United Arab Emirates on Monday announced the formation of an authority to ensure human rights are upheld in the country. The new body will also aim to establish the country’s status in persevering human rights in regional and global spheres.
In a Cabinet meeting held on Monday, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the ruler of Dubai, approved the formation of the National Human Rights Authority.

ABU DHABI,14th December, 2020 (WAM) In a cabinet meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, approved the formation of the National Human Rights Authority that aims to establish the country’s status in persevering human rights on regional and global spheres.
The meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi’s Qasr Al Watan, involved the adoption of ministerial resolutions and new structures for federal institutions and government councils.
