President is reaching out to republicans now? he realized public sentiment was turning against him after the sequester mess. he did i agree with congressman davis that the president has a different style. you know, if we look at his approach this entire time, he likes to hear all of the opinions around the table and comes forward with a proposal and seems like that has not really clicked with a lot of the republicans, you know, some in leadership and in the caucus overall. i think it s not a bad idea to try a new approach. always a good idea to come to the table, create something of a social relationship if you possibly can. then we can start to focus on our similarities before going into where the differences are. but notice, emily, that he went and met with members of the opposite party, not leadership. do you think that s his best attempt at success to get conversation and bipartisan support? well, i think he met with extremely important people. thought leaders within the re ....
